An initial public offering (IPO) is a company's first sale of stocks, bonds or certificates of deposit to the public in order to raise capital for the company.

In some cases, IPO may be oversubscribed. The offering company may go through balloting/allocation processes to determine whether an applicant will receive any allotment and in what quantity. Applicant may be tempted to subscribe for a bigger quantity than intended for increased chance of successful shares allotment. However, applicant may receive the entire quantity applied and will have to pay the full cost if IPO is undersubscribed. Share price may fluctuate from time to time or it may drop below its initial offer price on the first day of listing. It is vital to understand the company and their business you are investing in. You should read the prospectus, financial reports and seek professional advice before you make any investment decision. Applicants will also need to pay the handling fee and/or interest charge even though an IPO has been delayed or suspended for any reason.

Yes, you can make modification or cancellation before the deadline. After the deadline, we do not accept any changes.

The required amount and HKD100.00 handling should be deposited into your securities account before 4:00pm, one day before the subscription deadline.

We will deposit the allotted shares to the client’s account day before the listing day. You can go to check your securities account via internet.

No matter applicant's subscription is partially successful or not successful, fund will be credited to applicant’s securities account on the first day of listing.

You can apply through the following ways:

• White Form under your own Name
• Yellow Form under your own Name
• Margin Financing provided by INNS

You can submit your IPO application with Margin Financing services through a Cash or Margin account at Innovation Securities. Clients have to deposit fund for a minimum of 10% of the total subscription amount, margin interest and handling charges. You can enjoy up to 90% margin financing for your IPO application which makes your fund more flexible. The margin annual interest rate will be varied from time to time.

Apply IPO through margin financing can improve the allotment rate, here is the interest calculation example:
Interest =Financing Amount x Annual Interest Rate x No. of interest Bearing Days / 365 Interest Bearing Days

• The applicant must be aged 18 years old or above.
• The applicant is required to read the terms and conditions in the application form and submit a valid application form.
• Duplicate subscription will not be accepted. If you or your attorney submitted more than one Yellow Form or White Form for IPO application. All of your subscriptions will be counted as duplicate application.
• If client’s cheque is not honored, the application will not be accepted.
• For joint application, there should be a joint account available for the allotted shares to be deposited in INNS.
• The minimum shares to be subscribed will be One Lot. Any application must refers to no. of shares stated in the application form.
• The subscription amount has included 1% brokerage, 0.004% SFC Transaction Levy and 0.005% HKEx Trading Fee.

Upon received the application, the submitted amount will be hold from your designated trading account immediately.
